ABOUT ME
Tania Lee (she/her)
BABCP Accredited, BSc (Hons), PG Dip CBT.
I am an experienced, BABCP Accredited, Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT) Working previously for the NHS but now solely in private practice.
I am further trained in Supervision, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and a Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Facilitator.
I weave through some Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) when helpful.
Due to working for many years in the caring professions and especially as an Occupational Therapist in the community, I have gained experience of both physical disabilities/long term conditions and the low mood and anxieties that can often accompany them.
I have over 13 years experience specialising in treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Depression, Panic, Phobias, General Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety and others.
Neurodiversity (ND), more specifically Autism (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are both an area of interest and something that I have experience of both personally and within my client work. If you have recently been diagnosed, especially late diagnosis, it can be helpful to understand and then process the experience through a ND lens.
I am an LGBTQ+ ally.
